Welcome to CharlieWren.Com

Charlie Wren was born in Norfolk in the 1980s and began performing at an early age. Her talent was spotted and she began Ballet and Tap dance classes as well as embarking on what was to become her music career. These were closely followed by drama classes as her interest in entertainment flourished. Prior to professional training, Charlie’s work in local theatre included Deputy Stage Managing as well as undertaking leading roles in musicals.

In 2003 Charlie won a place at drama school where she played Jane in Howard Goodall’s “Girlfriends”, Mrs Stanley in “The Man Who Came To Dinner” by Moss Hart and George Kauffman and Ariel in Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” amongst other roles whilst continuing to develop her interest in music.

She graduated from the Rose Bruford College with a BA (Hons) in Actor Musicianship in 2006 and is currently residing and working in London.

Charlie’s professional engagements include “Johnny Space Hopper and his Vital Statistics” with the Quantum Theatre for Science. Directed by Michael Whitmore, which toured many UK theatres including Manchester Opera House, York Opera House, Bradford Concert Hall, Birmingham’s Alexandra Theatre and The Duchess Theatre in London’s West End and a national tour of Much Ado About Nothing with Oddsocks Productions.

As a professional musician and singer, Charlie performs with Gabby Young and Other Animals.

And yes, Charlie also has the distinction of being a natural blonde ;)
